Summary

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing financial and budget-related guidance (e.g.

laws, regulations, policies, precedents) to formulate budgets and manage the execution of appropriate funds for an organization.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will assign work and manage the preparation of execution documents in accordance with program budgets, contracting, and business and financial management program planning.
  • You will develop, coordinate, and present briefs to various management levels to support financial objectives of the Program.
  • You will identify and document out-year funding requirements.
  • You will coordinate with resource sponsors to develop, present, and defend Program Objective Memorandum and Program Review submissions, justifications and related artifacts.
  • You will prepare supplemental budget documentation for the management of acquisition, business and infrastructure programs and events.
  • You will analyze financial data in support of mandated benchmarks and recommend ways to improve overall obligation and expenditure rates.
  • You will prepare impact statements, explanations and remedial plans for senior management when obligations and expenditures vary from promulgated phasing plans.
  • You will review and revise operational budgets to reflect changes in funding or program objectives.
  • You will provide financial oversight to ensure efficient use of funds and evaluate data to recommend changes to improve effectiveness.
