Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing finances for a Navy program focused on reentry systems, such as tracking budgets, creating reports, and coordinating with teams to ensure projects stay on financial track.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assess program financial health by tracking, coordinating and analyzing overall program financial schedules using financial management software and working in financial management systems in order to generate budget reports and communicate budget execution to leadership.

  • You will perform financial planning and management activities to ensure that business acumen is well integrated into every facet of the Reentry Systems Branch, enabling the attainment of positive business outcomes.
  • You will assist the engineering sections in assessing program financial health by tracking, coordinating and analyzing overall program financial schedules and milestones.
  • You will perform work in support of any of the phases or systems of budget administration, including, but not limited to translating Reentry Systems Branch plans and programs in the formulation of current and future budget and cost estimates
  • You will assist in the development of Reentry Systems Branch contract planning documents in coordination with both budget executors and other supporting acquisition analysts.
  • You will manage and coordinates financial and program responses to requests from the SSP Board of Directors (BOD), the Resources Branch (SP13), other SSP Technical Branches, Contractors, Field Activities to ensure a accurate response is provided.
  • You will closely coordinate with the staff of other sections and units within the Reentry Systems Branch to ensure delivery of excellence across the technical and programmatic spectrum.
  • You will partner with and supports various stakeholders in the formulation and execution of requirements, planning factors, and budgets necessary to support design, development, production.
  • You will support both their own and their unit's evaluation and accumulation of knowledge related to reentry systems related science and technologies.
