This job involves leading a team in managing and analyzing financial funds for a naval aviation command, ensuring proper acceptance and use of funding while preparing reports and briefs for senior leaders.
It requires overseeing budget execution in a specialized government financial environment and improving processes to track performance.
A good fit would be someone with strong financial analysis experience, leadership skills, and familiarity with military or federal budgeting who enjoys problem-solving and team management.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the BUDGET FORM, JUST & EXECUTION DEPT and FUNDS MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
The incumbent will serve as the Division Head for the Funds Management Division within the NAWCAD Comptroller Department, and is a focal point on the acceptance of direct funding provided to the Command from various sources.
The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band (NM-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing and performing reviews, analysis, and appraisals of major operating and support programs; 2) Preparing and presenting financial briefs (i.e.
NWCF financial briefs) to senior management on program execution, including recommendations for correcting variances and addressing problem areas; 3) Providing interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; 4) Demonstrating a thorough understanding of Financial policies and procedures for the proper formulation and execution of funds in a working capital fund environment (i.e.
NWCF); 5) Developing and managing financial reports from various sources (such as Navy ERP, Qlik, and Business Objects) to track the status of funds and the propriety of obligations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of and budget formulation and execution data; 6) Coordinating the development and reporting of cost and performance data to support direct and indirect mission tasks; 7) Leading and managing personnel; 8) Mapping business processes, implementing improvements, and developing reporting tools to track key performance indicators in a Working Capital Fund environment (i.e.
NWCF).
