Requirements

In this position, you will serve as the primary contact for individuals who reach out to our office for assistance.

This involves providing information and assistance to these individuals about Equal Opportunity (EO) requirements, contracting opportunities, and discrimination complaint procedures, as well as referring matters to specialists or the director as details and issues may require.

Responsibilities include reviewing complaint submissions, maintaining a complaint log, assisting specialists during the investigation process, and helping to monitor and implement the Department’s EO programs.


Our team will also rely on you to take on general administrative duties such as preparing letters and reports and maintaining the office's internal and external websites.

This includes answering phone calls, coordinating and scheduling meetings, ensuring office bills are paid on time and accurately, and other functions that ensure our office can operate efficiently and effectively.

You will also have the chance to analyze operational procedures and prepare recommendations to improve productivity, suggest automation, or other positive changes.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
