Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as an environmental engineer for the Navy, focusing on ensuring projects and facilities comply with environmental laws, especially around petroleum storage and spill prevention.

You'll review designs, conduct audits, prepare reports, and help develop solutions to fix compliance issues.

You will serve as a Environmental Engineer in the Environmental Compliance Branch, Petroleum Section, Environmental Division of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE..

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing computer programs/software (i.e.

Microsoft office and environmental engineering software) to prepare engineering reports, studies, permits, etc.; 2) Participating in site visits and/or investigations to assess environmental compliance and identify deficiencies and ensuring compliance with local, state, and/or federal laws, codes, and regulations; and 3) Assisting with developing scopes of work and government estimates for environmental projects.

  • Develop solutions to environmental problems that will enable customers to meet their compliance requirements.
