Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of electricians in a naval shipyard, overseeing electrical repairs and installations on ships, including nuclear systems, while ensuring safety and proper procedures are followed.

You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN LEADER in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE Applying knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and instruments for electrical work operations.
Instruct various levels of electricians on proper work procedures and methods, use of tools, and safety pertaining to shop trade skills.
Verify work progress and ensure that the proper protective equipment is being used and safety practices are being followed by crew members Ensures crew members follow the work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met.
Ensures that the necessary material, tools, blueprints, and any software and equipment is furnished and available to crew members to perform the work.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work orders.
