Full Job Description

The person in this position will coordinate, review, and revise online courses to ensure that course content is up to date, aligned to appropriate objectives, and course masters are ready to be used for sessions. Assist in managing the course catalog by updating online course content and working with team members. Facilitate VirtualSC professional development courses to stay aligned with evolving content needs and collaborate with the team to fine-tune curriculum as necessary. Plan, prepare, and implement instruction to actively engage participants in online professional learning experiences that meet professional development standards; identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of participants with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs; effectively evaluate participants' performance and communicate performance with sufficient documentation. Compile and analyze the end of course surveys for curriculum needs and overall gaps in the program. Assist in the collection and inventory of a visual resources library (stock videos, photos, and graphic elements) for use in online courses and webpage to benefit Office of VirtualSC (OVE) and South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE). Assist in development and distribution of appropriate promotional and display materials to accompany resources for the professional development program for educators that are offered through the Office of Virtual Education. Perform other related duties as required.
This position is located in the Office of VirtualSC.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and experience in education, management or business.

Qualifications

A master's degree and three (3) years' experience; OR a bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience in education, education technology or instructional media production; OR any combination of education and experience necessary to perform the work.

Additional Information

Limited overnight travel may be required.
