Job Description

Summary

This role involves helping lead operations for a naval special warfare group, focusing on planning and coordinating missions, resources, and support during emergencies, exercises, and special projects.

It supports military aid to civilian authorities in crises and ensures smooth execution of training and contingency plans.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a DEPUTY OPERATIONS OFFICER in the Operations Department of COMNAVSPECWARGRUFOUR.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, oversight, and coordination of missions and resources during planned operations.

  • You will support military assistance to civil authorities during contingencies, exercises, disasters, and emergencies.
  • You will serve on a team evaluating all aspects of contingencies to include force generation, manpower, transportation, material/equipment, facilities and command and control systems.
  • You will develop detailed plans to ensure that operations, training, contingency and support plans are executed in a timely manner.
  • You will provide technical advice and coordinate on-going actions during operations.
  • You will participate in planning for special projects, short and long-range planning.
