Full Job Description

You will serve as a PASSPORT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE (N3) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to coordinate multiple projects, balance priorities for short-term and long-range goals, and self-manage daily tasks; comprehensive knowledge to fact find and problem solve following research requirements with strong project management skills.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the command passport specialist and subject matter expert for acquiring and safeguarding official and tourist passports.
  • You will synchronize all office communication and correspondence with DoS, visa offices, and foreign embassies.
  • You will ensure the command is prepared for all DoS passport facility inspections, and will have signature authority for passport applications and related forms.
  • You will monitor and coordinate procurement of passports and/or visas with DoS and/or appropriate consulates and keep close professional relationships with DoS, Special Issuance Passport Agency, and the DoD Clearance Office.
  • You will provide direction and guidance int he preparation of the preparation applications and accompanying forms to command passport representatives and specialties.
