Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of intelligence analysts to research, develop, and evaluate equipment and strategies for naval special operations forces, focusing on creating detailed intelligence reports and improving processes for military missions.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an all-source intelligence subject matter expert (SME) and senior intelligence analyst.

You will be responsible for the research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) of equipment, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) in support of Naval Special Warfare (NSW)/maritime Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Joint Task Forces (JTFs).

This position is located within the Analysis and Targeting Division of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide leadership and guidance to the assignment of all-source analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of complex analytical issues and incorporate insights and findings into well-crafted, in-depth intelligence products; Provide expert administrative oversight and supervision to all-source intelligence specialists, military, and contractor subordinates; Advise the organization and leadership on all-source intelligence assessments, including Intelligence Community (IC) perspectives; Develop and maintain expert level Intelligence Community (IC) and inter-agency coordination through participation in working groups and collaborative analytic exchanges; Establish and maintain expert level guidance on intelligence analysis standards and tradecraft to ensure all assessments and products adhere to industry best practices and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.

  • You will advise on all matters relating to the efficient coordination, planning, and completion of targeting in support of operations-related projects.
  • You will ensure doctrinally correct procedures are implemented during training exercises and preparation of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) forces.
  • You will collect and analyze data to determine best methods and skills required to support full spectrum intelligence functions.
  • You will develop detailed all-source derived intelligence estimates and present them to N2/J2 personnel and higher, lower, and adjacent headquarters.
  • You will find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to efficiency and improve processes.
