Job duties:The CSS Applications Specialist assists in administering and directing Case Management and the Interstate Central Registry (ICR) Unit.
This position involves facilitating the creation of child support cases and ensuring compliance with statewide performance standards for the Child Support Services Division.
To ensure that the custodial parent application portal is accessible, efficient, and aligns with the agency's requirements.
- Interpret federal regulations and Child Support Services policy and procedures to ensure that all child support applications and correspondence receive appropriate and timely action.
- Supervise personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Direct the development and administration of Case Management functions for all 46 counties in South Carolina.
- Assist in developing, managing, and implementing all Case Management policies or changes, short and long-range goals and objectives.
- Assist in ongoing training and refinement of the Palmetto Automated Child Support System.
- Implement and monitors the unit and individual staff goals which, when coordinated with all other areas of Child Support, assures collection and cost-effective goals of the program.
- To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of special projects mandated by federal requirements.
- Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed. Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
A Master's Degree and (one) 1 year of professional experience in Social Services programs, correctional, educational, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
A Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of professional experience in Social Services programs, correctional, educational, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
