As a Clerical Assistant 3 in Warren County, you will play an important role in making sure employee payroll, leave, and performance records are accurate and up to date for Forest County field and garage as well as Warren County garage. Requirements

In this role, you will serve as the primary timekeeper for Warren and Forest County crews while supporting payroll, performance reviews, and general office operations. You will help employees understand payroll processes and ensure all records are correct and submitted on time.


  • Manage Payroll Tasks: Review, research, and correct payroll and leave issues, upload ePayroll records, and ensure all entries follow contracts and pay rules.
  • Maintain Time Records: Track hours, overtime, shift differential, and out-of-class work using electronic check-off sheets and SAP reports.
  • Resolve Errors: Investigate SAP system errors, determine causes, choose the correct procedures, and communicate solutions to employees.
  • Support Performance Systems: Maintain Employee Performance Review schedules, update performance standards and position descriptions, and ensure required documents are completed and filed.
  • Assist Office Operations: Answer phones and radios, enter customer concerns, process mail, handle waste agreements, and support staff when coverage is needed.
  • Provide Employee Guidance: Educate staff on payroll rules, help with career development plans, and support knowledge sharing and succession planning.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
