Requirements
The responsibilities of this position include updating and storing nursing files to ensure they are accurate and accessible for other employees and management. General clerical duties including creating, updating, and maintaining spreadsheets, presentations, and shared documents. Experience using Microsoft Excel and software programs to manage digital filing systems and calendars is required. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documents such as PowerPoint presentations, memos, emails, presentations, and reports. Greeting residents and family members, answering telephone calls and emails, and redirecting them as appropriate is a large responsibility of this position. The Nursing Clerk will participate in meetings, taking dictations and minutes as requested. Additionally, you will monitor supplies by identifying and maintaining par levels, reordering when stock levels are low. This position works closely with Clinical Services and Clinical Services Management to help organize and deliver high-quality care and services to our Veteran population.

position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not
have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:- Two (2) years or more of experience working with software applications within the Microsoft package and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets, calendars, documents, and create presentations, and rosters.
- Ability to work with various office equipment such as scanner, printer, fax, computer, tablet, telephone, and personal communication devices.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):- Previous experience working in an office setting as a clerk and/or personal assistant.
Legal Requirements:- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a background check, PPD testing, and physical.
