Requirements

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical assistance in the areas of certifications and apostilles, notaries, commissions, and legislation. This includes processing certification and apostille requests received by mail and over-the-counter. You will also process electronic notary applications and field questions regarding becoming a notary public. Must provide excellent customer service to walk-in and telephone customers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania . The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
