The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 to provide clerical and office support within the Snowmobile and All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Registration Unit. If you are energetic, efficient, and detail oriented this may be the perfect position for you!

Requirements

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will be responsible for all aspects of the clerical processes related to licensing, registering, collecting payments, and mailing documents resulting from customer applications for and changes to Snowmobile and ATV titles and registrations. Responsibilities include reviewing incoming applications for Snowmobile or ATV titles to ensure all documentation provided with each title application is appropriate, properly completed, legible, signed, notarized correctly and accompanied by the correct payment amount. The Clerical Assistant 2 must interpret and evaluate various legal documents as they apply to Snowmobile and ATV titles, title transfers, and registrations to ensure they are correctly completed and appropriate documentation is received prior to proceeding with processing of the application.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
