The PA Department of Transportation is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 who is energetic, efficient, and detail oriented to provide clerical services to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles Dealer Unit. Requirements

The employee in this position will provide clerical support services to the entire dealer unit by answering questions related to dealers, full agents, messengers and abandoned vehicles. The successful candidate must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, along with face to face and via telephone with the general public, dealers and messengers. Clerical Assistant 2 will develop full knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Code, Bureau forms, procedures and regulations adopted by the Department of Transportation pertaining to the licensing of Salvors and Abandoned Vehicles.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:300pm, Monday thru Friday with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
