Requirements

This position requires the knowledge of various departmental and out of state forms/documents including Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, Crimes Code, Non-Resident Violator's Compact, and Driver's License Compact. The Clerical Assistant 2 must understand the proper procedures involved in the examination and data entry of all documents as they relate to the sanctioning of an individual’s driving privileges. You must exercise independent judgment when processing violations and entering information that has been received from the courts and other jurisdictions. The Clerical Assistant 2 must meet established quality standards to ensure the integrity of customer records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
