About the Position: This position is located in Falls Church, Virginia.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing executive support in financial operations, overseeing staff and organizational workflows, aligning manpower priorities, reviewing management policies to drive operational and fiscal improvements, and overseeing resource planning.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Serve as a senior advisor and consultant to the J1, J8 and DHP Programming, Contract Resource Management and San Antonio Activities regarding all matters associated with the organization.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Resources and Personnel Integration in developing and formulating of new programs and evaluating of existing programs.
  • Support work structure, including policy, procedures, budgetary matters, financial management and accounting, audit procedures, and facilities management concerning the provision of health care across the Military Health System (MHS).
  • Direct meetings and briefings to ensure that stated and implied goals are achieved and appropriate follow-on actions are completed.
  • Works directly with the Assistant Director R and PI and assists in the daily operations and execution on DHA-wide management and administrative and financial strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Directs staff and subordinate divisions to take necessary corrective steps, modify proposals to ensure compliance with policies, or provide improved results.
