Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience in clerical, office, or retail work of any kind in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
Experience must include demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems.
to make change when receiving payments from customers, disbursement, examination, deposit, or other processing of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items and use of cash accountability methods.
Major Duties:
Duties and Responsibilities: Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties; accepts payments, checks, makes change, may prepare and issue change funds, bank deposits, and daily reports.
Performs cashier functions in support of other staff involved in the sales of services or merchandise; the incumbent performs cashier duties for all Ticket, Frame/X-Press Shop, Leisure Travel , and Outdoor Recreation equipment rental customers by accepting all payments and charges to the proper accounts.
Ensures the proper accounting for charge cards and sales slips ensuring they arc included within the daily cashier's report.
Prepares and issues change of funds and bank deposits and ensures daily deposits arc processed in a timely manner.
Ensures all monies arc accounted for by balancing the posting funds before actual bank deposit; the incumbent prepares cash reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities.
Under the supervision of the manager may train personnel on funds control and cash handling procedures. Conducts daily and monthly inventory of tickets, merchandise, and recreation supplies/equipment.
Completes daily/monthly paperwork regarding to ticket orders and sales report.; the incumbent orders tickets, logs tickets in the computer.
Shows appropriate equipment assembling/set up procedures to customers, such as setting up canopies, bouncy castle, etc.
Helps recreation aid/assistant personnel with the set up of recreation areas for scheduled activities.
Records attendance, takes reservations and payment for outdoor recreation trips and tours, notifies participants of schedule changes, and notifies recreation aid/assistants or equipment arrangements and loading of equipment for related scheduled activities.
Performs receptionist duties; greets and directs visitors to appropriate areas, answers phones and route incoming telephone calls to appropriate sections, receives and sends faxes and provides general routine information upon inquiry.
Assists the manager with daily paperwork related to payments to consignment/concessionaire, frame vendors, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned. Position is a position of trust.
