This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. This position is seasonal and will end when the Warming Station Season ends. The Warming Station season is from November 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026.
Warming Station Attendants are considered essential workers, which means attendants are expected to report to stations during weekdays, weekends, holidays, and weather emergencies.
Attendants are responsible for overseeing operations at any of the five Gwinnett County Warming Stations during overnight shifts from 5:30 pm - 7:00 am, while managing scheduled breaks.
The incumbent is empathetic and respectful while supporting residents, enforcing station rules and adhering to all rules and regulations of the Warming Station operations.
Additionally, the attendants will be responsible for ensuring participant safety, monitoring behaviors, and reporting any incidents or emergencies in accordance with protocols.
