Job Description
The Business Outreach Coordinator within the Business Services Division is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and prospective businesses, trade associations, and community stakeholders to drive business growth and enhance Gwinnett County’s reputation.

Essential Duties
  • Develop relationships with existing and new businesses within Gwinnett County to ensure they feel connected and supported in the County.
  • Create and execute outreach strategies to engage with businesses and industry through various communication channels.
  • Track and analyze outreach activities, meeting notes, and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
  • Identify any needs or prospective leads generated from outreach activities to leadership.
  • Build and maintain a database of contacts and relationships to facilitate ongoing communication and engagement.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and business community needs to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Represent Gwinnett County at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and build relationships with potential partners.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Division leadership.
Public Speaking Duties
  • Position will have public speaking duties primarily presenting to local businesses and trade organizations
Grade
The grade for this position is 104. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field; AND
  • Three years of related experience; OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
  • Proven experience in business engagement and outreach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple outreach activities and priorities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and other outreach tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve outreach goals.
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
