Job Description
This position provides direct day-to-day support for the Fiscal Management Division within the Department of Water Resources. This position will be assigned to support the Water Reclamation facilities for operating and capital requisitions and purchase orders. This class is responsible for performing a wide variety of financial duties.

Essential Duties
  • Preparing and submitting requisitions to order goods and services in compliance with the Gwinnett County Purchasing Ordinance and guidelines
  • Reviewing proposals and quotes from suppliers ensuring all guidelines and procedures are adhered to
  • Processing receipts of goods and services on purchase orders ensuring proper approval and backup documentation has been provided
  • Modifying and closing purchase orders
  • Responding to inquiries on purchase order status and related information
  • Research and resolve issues related to requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Communicate with other divisions and outside vendors
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
Grade
The grade for this position is B23(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in business administration or a closely related field; AND
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment; OR
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
