This job involves overseeing and managing various support services on an Air National Guard base, such as food, lodging, fitness, and community programs, to ensure they run smoothly for military missions at federal, state, and local levels.
The role includes supervising staff, planning operations, and acting as the main contact for these services across the wing and its remote units.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a BASE SERVICE MANAGER, Position Description Number T5707000 and is part of the 109TH AW, National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration.
Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information.
Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled.
Experience using computer and automation systems SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions.
Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations.
Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures.
Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed.
Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Comprehensive knowledge of the full suite of Base Services programs including Prime Readiness in Base Services (RIBS), Subsistence and Food Services, Lodging, Mortuary Affairs, Private Organizations and Non-Appropriated Funds, Home Community Care, Dining Social Club, and Fitness Center management to evaluate, plan, and direct support for federal, state, and local missions.
Knowledge must incorporate principles, concepts, and methodologies, which affect the integration of internal/external program support resources to accomplish assignments, and/or improve the effectiveness or efficiency of operations.

As a BASE SERVICES MANAGER, GS-0301-11, you will evaluate, plan, organize, and direct Base Services functions in support of federal, state, and local missions.
The incumbent serves as supervisor and primary point-of-contact for Services-related programs, missions, functions, activities, and events for the wing and its assigned Geographically Separated Units (GSU).
