Summary

This job is for a bartender at an Air Force club in Missouri, where you'll mix and serve drinks like cocktails, beer, and wine to patrons, handle cash transactions, and keep the bar clean and stocked.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Mission's End Collocated Club. This position is considered flexible.

You are guaranteed 0 hours, however could work up to 40 hours per week. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible to earn annual leave or sign up for benefits.

Employee will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, golf course, bowling center, club, swimming pools and other activities. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: MUST have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of correct proportions and mixtures to use in preparing beverages.

MUST be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. MUST be able to follow cash handling procedures.

MUST be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Requires frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying of objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting up to and over 40 pounds.

Heavier objects such as beer kegs are usually transported with the aid of a dolly. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:

Qualified applicants will be reviewed and referred every Friday until the close of this announcement. Operates limited service bars.

Prepares a limited variety of alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Serves beer, soda and wine. Serves patrons directly or delivers to waiter.

Receives payment, operates cash register, and makes and returns change to patrons or waiter. Sets up bar for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clean.

Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Stocks service bars and assist higher-level bartender as required. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
