Full Job Description

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Expeditionary Warfare Weapons & Energy Systems Division (JXD), Sensor Integration & Technology Division (LXD), or Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Systems Division (WXD) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing analysis and coordination of contracting and procurement data to identify trends and make recommendations for improved development and execution of acquisition strategies for contract programs.

  • You will report to the cognizant Technical Deputy Department Head and work closely with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWCCR) Contracts Department Technical Liaison (Code 02T).
  • You will lead the execution of acquisition management processes that are essential to the operation and mission of NSWCCR and the Technical Department.
  • You will plan, schedule, develop, train, coordinate, track and report contracting and acquisition support functions for the Department.
  • You will serve as the expert advisor in the Department’s acquisition and contracting management, representing the Department at meetings, conferences, and financial reviews.
  • You will facilitate the timely technical evaluation and sequestration oversight as necessary to ensure acquisitions are executed to meet program objectives.
  • You will identify strategic near and long-term goals necessary to reach Department and Division objectives; plan and conduct critical projects that are vital to procurement activities.
