Career ladder: Start at GS-9 and advance to GS-11 with experience.

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineer on naval radar systems, troubleshooting issues in computer and electronic equipment, and helping improve and maintain these systems for ships and weapons.
You'll handle everything from testing in labs and on ships to analyzing data and suggesting upgrades to keep the technology reliable.
It's a great fit for someone with engineering experience in defense or electronics who enjoys problem-solving in a technical, military-focused environment.
You will serve as an ENGINEER in the SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer conducting root cause analysis and proposing solutions to resolve testing problems of computer or electronic systems and equipment for naval ship and weapons radar systems.
