Full Job Description


The Administrative Services Manager 1 leads the Accounts Payable unit within the Division of Administrative Services, overseeing payment operations for multiple agencies within the Department of Homeland Security. This position manages roughly $450 million in annual expenditures and ensures payments are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with fiscal regulations, including the Prompt Payment Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of five AP staff, ensuring operational continuity and workload management.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes to prevent backlogs and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal fiscal regulations.
  • Implement internal controls and resolve operational issues affecting payment accuracy or timeliness.
  • Collaborate with fiscal leadership to support budgeting, reporting, and agency financial operations.

This role is essential for maintaining legal compliance, preventing payment delays, and supporting the financial stability of multiple state agencies. Additional duties as needed.
