This job involves managing and improving training programs for professionals who help people with substance use disorders and gambling problems in Pennsylvania.
You'll assess needs, evaluate courses and instructors, develop educational content, and support an online training system while traveling to build partnerships.

As an Administrative Officer 2, your work is dedicated to establishing, executing, and continuously improving our statewide needs-based system of training for SUD, gambling professionals, and other stakeholders in Pennsylvania.
You will be responsible for assessing the educational needs of the field; evaluating course content and the performance of contracted course instructors; recruiting and contracting with new instructors; as well as working with subject matter experts to update, develop, and maintain educational content that is current and follows best practice in adult education.
This includes executing Training of Trainers events; assisting in the administration of an online training management system; and providing technical assistance to instructors, students, Single County Authorities, and other DDAP stakeholders.

You will be independently responsible for completing in-depth analyses of information and issues to promote successful oversight and implementation of training initiatives.
This position will allow you to travel throughout the state representing the interests of the department and to foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders at the local and state level.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report to the office two days per week and for special events as necessary.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
