Advertised Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME ), provides administrative support to the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education.
Supports pre-clinical faculty and the Assistant Dean of Clinical Learning in delivering and coordinating educational activities for medical students during the pre-clinical phase of the curriculum.
Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of related experience in health sciences or healthcare administration, business management, or administrative services; or equivalency.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of medical education operations and terminology, experience with Blackboard or other learning management systems, and the ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Ability to work independently while developing collaborative relationships with colleagues, physicians, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to be a self-starter who works effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated professional judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Skilled in interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
