Responsibilities of the Accounting/Fiscal Manager II (CPA):
The Accounting/Fiscal Manager II will provide expertise related to filed applications, petitions, testimony, and other documentation regarding investigations, services, and rates of utilities to assist the Commissioners and determine compliance with state statutes, regulations, and Commission orders.
Work includes analyzing financial reports, records, reserves, assets, revenues, and expenditures; income statements; and balance sheets.
Work is performed with latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and decision making. Specific job functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Analyze establishment and adjustment utility rate filings, and requests for utility adjustment of rates filings and prepare recommendations, comments, and questions for the Commissioners.
Participate in associated hearings and review final orders and tariffs. Participate in collegial discussions with the commissioners regarding pending utility dockets.
