Within the role of Accountant 1, you will assist in preparing the state budget for CYS and Juvenile Probation expenditures and revenues, as well as provide assistance in the preparation of the county budget and all related financial and revenue reports required by the County Commissioner's and County Controller.
This position also assists in the preparation of fiscal forms for the agency’s annual plan prepared for the Department of Public Welfare.
Diligent organizational skills are vital, as you will develop fiscal manuals for the agency to reflect all governing regulations for state and federal programs as well as detailed instructions for carrying out the fiscal demands of the agency regarding paperwork related to placements and invoicing of placement costs.
You can expect to assist in preparing general ledger reports, trial balances, journal entries and budget modifications.
