The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant 2 in the Finance, Asset Protection Office. In this role, you will be responsible for performing financial and inventory work. Apply with us today!

Requirements

This position will support the analysis of activities relating to the agency's internal control program and assist in monitoring and measuring the agency's audit related activities.

Additionally, this position will also work with Finance and Operations to ensure team adherence to all PLCB inventory policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in reconciliation preparation and internal control programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: This position is eligible for telework. You will have the opportunity to work from home part-time up to 4 days a week, with 1 day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Telework arrangements are subject to change.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Accountant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting; or
  • Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation.

An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.

Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
