Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

• You will pass instructions received from the Facilities Manager for immediate tasks and ensure that all supplies, materials and equipment needed to accomplish the task are available.
• You will serve as the lead trainer for the assigned operator trainee and Marines assigned to water and wastewater system duties.
• You will operate, maintain and repair facilities and equipment in a sequence batch reactor type activated sludge wastewater plant with a design flow if 140,000 gallons per day.
• You will plan, schedule and perform work to produce safe and pleasant drinking water and wastewater plant effluent that always meets waste discharge requirements.
• You will research and order all parts and supplies required to operate and maintenance of the systems.
• You will monitor the various computer screens to ensure correct plant cycling and to verify that operational parameters are correct for current conditions.
