Technical College of the Lowcountry
Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900
Typical requirements: Executive-level leadership experience. Senior executive qualifications required.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading the administrative operations of a community college, including managing budgets, IT systems, facilities, procurement, and support services to ensure everything runs smoothly across multiple campuses.
It requires providing high-level advice to the college president on financial matters and promoting teamwork to support the school's educational goals.

Job Purpose:
Provide executive-level leadership and direction for a college-wide comprehensive program of administrative services which complement and support the academic mission of the College; to manage the financial resources made available to the College; to serve as the principle advisor to the President regarding the management and control of financial resources made available to the institution; oversee the efficient operation of accounting, information technology, procurement, physical plant, and bookstore functions of the College.
Job Duties:
Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of College-wide delivery of Information Technology services at all campuses; manages the college’s technology infrastructure, telecommunications and related systems; oversee the efficient operation of the IT services, provides direction for the coordination of the allocation of resources and the procurement of hardware and software systems for the College; ensures that emphasis is places on providing excellent customer service and coordination of a comprehensive payroll program for all campuses.
Provides efficient and effective leadership in the development and maintenance of inventory control functions for all campuses, ensuring that services are provided in a customer friendly environment.
Ensures the operation of effective, efficient procurement functions for all campuses; ensuring that services are provided in a customer friendly manner.
Plans and establishes strategies and works in concert with President’s Strategic Leadership Team to establish a clear, unified mission; ensures high quality programs and services; and contribute to fulfillment of the mission and accomplishment of the priorities of the College; promotes the synergy of the President’s Leadership Team in achieving goals by engaging teamwork, cooperation and active support.
Serves as the spokesperson for the division of responsibility, and promotes a unified relationship between divisions and within division; serves as an ambassador of the College at the local, state, and national level to governing boards, higher education agencies, cording boards and professional organizations, and represents the President when requested; and performs professional and administrative duties assigned, as appropriate by the President in addition to delineated responsibilities.
A Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration or closely related field plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible upper-level administrative work experience.
Designation as a Certified Public Accountant may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree for the VP for Administrative Services
