Job Description

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for ensuring compliance and integrity in financial auditing?

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) Field Services Audit Manager reports to the Integrity Department of the UI Division.

This individual will be responsible for the planning, supervising, and coordinating of field services in the assigned Field Office.

Incumbent will oversee the administration of complex, involved financial audits of employer records to determine compliance, as well as assignment generated from employer/claimant showing discrepancies.

Incumbent will also coordinate and advocate employer education and assistance.

Key Responsibilities

The UI Field Services Audit Manager will:

  • Ensure compliance with standards, evaluate staff effectiveness, and develop improvement plans.
  • Conduct audits, provide testimony, educate employers on federal laws, and ensure tax compliance.
  • Manage investigations to ensure accurate and timely wage claims, supporting the benefits department.
  • Update tax systems for delinquent reports and ensure legal compliance.
  • Complete required training programs and apply acquired knowledge.
  • Interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and communicate effectively with written & verbal skills.

Requirements

Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as accounting, and at least three years of experience with auditing, account documenting, and interviewing.

Qualifications

Strong leadership skills, and effective management of resources, projects, and timelines to achieve agency goals. Experience in auditing employer accounts.
