This job involves overseeing the daily operations of wastewater treatment plants and managing the city's collection systems, including budgeting, handling reports for state regulators, and coordinating with teams and contractors to keep everything running smoothly.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in utilities maintenance who enjoys leading teams, solving operational problems, and planning for long-term improvements in public services.
It's ideal for a detail-oriented leader who can balance technical work with administrative tasks.
This is advanced technical, supervisory and administrative work involving wastewater plant operations and collection-system asset management.
This supervisor level work involves managing assets, projects, contractors, and includes the long-term planning and budgeting for capital replacement.
This work includes submitting reports to EGLE and professionally collaborating with many partners both internal and external to the City.
This work is performed under the managerial direction of the Environmental Services Manager and Assistant Managers.
