Full Job Description
At Richland Maintenance, conducts field inspection duties in specialized areas. Areas of inspection may include asphalt repair, concrete repair, concrete repair, guardrail, fence repair and mowing where field measurements for payment are required. Measures and compile quantities for repairs of asphalt, concrete, guardrail, fence and mowing. Performs bi-annual guardrails inspection and quarterly cable inspections. Uses the computer to complete reports. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations, may include being available for extended working hours or 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
A high school diploma and one (1) year of experience that is related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
The physical demands for the essential functions of this position involve sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods of time. This position may require occasional travel. This position may require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling. This position requires driving and walking for extended periods, treading rough and uneven terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and natural environmental hazards. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies. This position may be exposed to outside environment in all weather conditions and noise.
