Full Job Description
This posting will be used to fill multiple summer internship positions in the Department of Transportation District Two offices located in Abbeville, Anderson, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda. Assists in engineering activities in the Maintenance and/or Construction Engineering fields. Responsibilities include assisting with:- Assists in the inspection of the construction and/or maintenance of highways and bridges.
- Assists in the use of survey equipment for construction and/or maintenance activities.
- Assists inspectors performing field tests on earthwork and concrete materials.
- Assists in completing daily work reports and other required documentation for construction and/or maintenance activities.
Pay rate is between $17.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
