Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-6. Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or 1 year graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves teaching new recruits the basics of physical security and law enforcement skills in a classroom and hands-on setting for the Navy's Master at Arms program.
You'll guide students with no prior experience, track their progress, administer tests, and handle paperwork like grades and certificates.
It's a great fit for someone with military or security training background who enjoys mentoring others and has strong communication skills.
You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (MASTER AT ARMS) of NAVTECHTRACENDET.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Instructing others in the concepts, methods and techniques of the physical security /law enforcement field; 2) Using advanced security reactionary force combat skills to instruct security forces/law enforcement forces and weapons courses; 3) Demonstrating oral and written communication on a professional level to effectively convey ideas in a clear, concrete, and concise manner; 4) Utilizing knowledge in the principles, concepts, and methodologies of training to include technical methods and practices to instruct Security Forces (i.e.
Master at Arms (MA), Law Enforcement (LE), Anti-Terrorism (AT), Force Protection (FP), Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) courses; 5) Utilizing computer software (i.e.
word processing, spreadsheet, data management) to record info, manage records, input data.
