You will serve as a SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER (INSTRUCTOR) in the SHORE SAFETY PROGRAMS DIRECTORATE of NAVSAFECOM.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Developing training and plans that impact the career development, proficiency, and execution of all duties performed by safety and occupational health personnel; 2) Developing best practices for a Safety Occupational Health program or similar program; 3) Implementing policy and procedures for multiple program areas to strategize gaps and area of improvement; 4) Forecasting realistic workforce strategies for recruitment, hiring, and retention to support agency mission-readiness; 5) Proficiency with the Navy program of record for safety program management; 6) Conduct assurance activities of headquarters and deck plate commands, units, and activities; 7) Knowledge of Navy hierarchy and Safety and Occupational Health execution within the Navy; 8) Development of competency models, identifying mission critical workforce gaps, execution of workforce forecasts, monitoring demographic trends, and carrying out of surveys and analysis of results; 9) Assessment of training and experience of SOH personnel to ensure it is aligned with mission requirements, workforce competency models and gaps, and higher level requirements.
