Job Description
Summary
This temporary role involves managing the creation of educational TV and radio content, from initial ideas to final production, while using audience data to make programs more engaging for South Carolinians.
It supports the state's public broadcasting network by producing short videos, documentaries, and digital materials.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in media production who enjoys teamwork and has a passion for educational storytelling.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma with relevant experience or additional education in radio or television production
- Basic understanding of broadcast production processes, including studio and remote filming procedures
- Ability to manage a production project from concept to completion
- Comfortable directing production crews as needed
- Experience creating content using Adobe Premiere and/or DaVinci Resolve editing software
- Preferred: Experience creating content for public media
- Availability to work 25-30 hours per week

About Our Agency: South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings.
JOB PURPOSE:
This position plays a critical role in supporting local content development for South Carolina ETV and Public Radio. As part of the Content Team, this position will apply data-driven strategies to create short and long-form content that supports audience connectivity.
JOB DUTIES:
Coordinates production of short subject, documentary, and/or educational programs from concept to completion. Independently creates and/or edits various content for TV, Radio, Digital, and/or Education. Uses data-driven strategies to ensure connectivity with local audiences. Works collaboratively with other team members to support project research and completion.
Candidates are expected to work 25-30 hours per week.
