We are looking for enthusiastic
TEMP SEASONAL EVENT ASSISTANT at RIVERFRONT SPOKANE and SPOKANE PARKS
to join our team!

This position is part of an ongoing Temp Seasonal recruitment process. First selections to be made in March, with additional hiring rounds planned for April and May 2026.

Requirements

The following Responsibilities and Requirements are functions the individual who holds or desires the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation.

Event Assistants will support managers and organizers with logistical and administrative duties including all aspects of day-of event execution which may include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinates and collaborates with applicable Park teams to support operations and services related to events, rentals, and programming.
  • Provides necessary event information to other City departments.
  • Strong customer service skills with greeting & welcoming guests.
  • Operates a personal computer, including word processing software and basic office equipment, such as a copier and laminating machine.
  • Communication and record keeping using personal computer and related software.
  • Able to take on special projects as assigned, maintain documents and continue training and development.
  • Operates a motor vehicle as needed to move between various work locations.
  • Attend pre-event planning meetings.
  • To work independently for events, survey the venue and know what needs to be set up.
  • Work with organizers to ensure event success.
  • Janitorial duties as needed.
  • Uphold Riverfront and Spokane Parks rules.

DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be flexible and able to work as part of a team.
  • Work hours that vary from early mornings to late evenings.
  • Weekend availability required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Required to submit a background check.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
