Join our team this summer and make a difference for local kids while having a great time!
The Camp Counselor will lead and assist with a variety of activities on land and water for youth during weeklong summer day camps.
This individual will be responsible for conducting programs at various field locations, interacting with the public, managing camp participants, and representing the agency in a positive manner. Ideal candidates are adept at creating fun experiences and personalizing the camp experience for all participants. You will be tasked with planning fun activities and games throughout each week. Activities include kayaking trips, hiking, paddle boarding, swimming and team building. River rafting, rock climbing, and disc golf are also part of the camp experience but are taught by local contractors. will also be responsible for driving campers to and from activities throughout the day in 15 passenger vehicles, towing and backing up trailers that transport equipment.
Part-time: up to 40+ hours per week, Monday-Friday. Programs are registration based, and no number of hours can be guaranteed.
$18.84 per hour + Depending on Experience
Requirements

WORK RELATED REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience with youth camps or leading youth activities.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and flexible enough to make accommodations for unforeseen events.
- Have excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, and a confident ability to speak with the public and provide good customer service.
- A background in outdoor recreation facilitation, teaching or related field.
Requirements of work (with or without reasonable accommodation):- The stamina to stand for long periods time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age at time of appointment.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid CPR & 1st Aid Certifications. Preferred but can be obtained after being hired.
- Pass background check.
- Pass drug test. Includes testing for cannabis.
- Available for training dates.
