Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience managing and directing telecommunications systems and services.

-Experience overseeing telecommunications architectures and managing telecommunication projects, contracts, and service providers.

-Experience preparing and analyzing department operational/overhead budgets and monitoring project lifecycle management.

-Experience providing technical training regarding existing regulations, trends in technology, design criteria, installations and equipment planning/upgrades.

  • You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGER in the BASE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT (N5) at NAVAL COMPUTER and TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION, PACIFIC (NCTAMSPAC).
  • You will direct and supervise the Base Communications Office Department staff.
  • You will oversee the performance of diverse functions including coordinating customer user practices, processing telecommunication service requests, collecting traffic data, billing information and fiscal accounting.
  • You will prioritize and schedule work completion.
  • You will evaluate employee’s performance and develop training requirements.
  • You will provide technical training to staff on a weekly basis.
  • You will draft personnel descriptions, conduct personnel interviews and administer disciplinary action when required.
  • You will serve as the Regional Technical Director for all regional digital and analog switching systems, (secure and non-secure) network and non-network telecommunications services.
  • You will review all Engineering Field Activity (EFA) Military Construction projects and assess telecommunication requirements providing technical recommendations and cost analysis.
  • You will coordinate with local, county, state and federal agencies providing expert technical advice and recommendations on issues pertaining to naval telecommunication matters within the region.
