Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION, COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST & EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing technical project tasks directed toward successful Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Aegis Combat System (ACS) or Aegis Weapon System (AWS) test and integration operations in support of a combat system engineering program.

  • You will serve as an Aegis Baseline Lead responsible for technical and programmatic leadership for development, fielding, observing testing and integration, and maintaining of Aegis/Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Baselines/Capability Packages.
  • You will apply aspects of scientific, engineering, and specialty engineering (e.g., reliability and maintainability, system safety, value engineering) principles and techniques.
  • You will apply system security engineering and secure cyber resilient engineering principles throughout the acquisition lifecycle, which includes overseeing the implementation of cybersecurity strategies addressing adversarial threats.
  • You will create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Statements of Work (SOW), Task Planning Sheets (TPS), out year resource planning and budgeting to meet branches future needs.
  • You will require close and continuous liaison with C-Department's Aegis, BMD, and FFG Customer Advocates and with Program Office (IWS and MDA) leadership.
  • You will resolve various technical issues involved in the planning and fielding of these Baselines/Capability Packages by applying risk management methodologies to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks through the acquisition life cycle.
