Full Job Description

You will serve as a the SSDS/CARRIERS/PCMS Technical Project Manager at the Availability Integration Division (N60) within the Modernization and Installation Department (N00) Within NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.

The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14." Your resume must demonstrate at least year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector assisting in the coordination of project activities, monitoring project milestones and budgets, and supporting the acquisition life cycle by tracking deliverables and project documentation to ensure they meet established requirements and quality standards.

  • You will support the N60 Division Manager in management of SSDS/CARRIERS/PCMS procurement and contract requirements planning and budgeting for technical support, and review and approval of technical data.
  • You will support the Costumer Advocate in planning, directing, implementing and executing technical programs, policies and management actions for the design, test, development, acquisition, and in-service engineering of division programs.
  • You will translating fleet requirements into technical requirements with adequate impact statements to secure proper level of funding.
  • You will coordinate and oversee project execution across departments, including monitoring quality of appropriate product deliverables, and making decisions on technical and fiscal issues presented by technical codes.
  • You will plan, implement, and evaluate technical contracting activities for surveillance oversight, quality, cost, schedule, performance, test, and acceptance.
  • You will apply risk management methodologies to proactively identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor technical risks throughout the acquisition life cycle.
  • You will provide technical expertise and leadership during the execution of ship integration, integrated logistics and in-service engineering tasking, and perform financial management and planning.
  • You will provide project management such as technical review coordination, financial planning, and development of Task Planning Sheets (TPS), Statements of Work (SOWs), and WAAP Packages for SSDS, CARRIERS, and PCMS programs.
