Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Financial Ops Support (E &M) Div Dir) in the Comptroller Dept (01), Budget Division (011) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and performing financial analysis, budgeting, or financial reporting to identify and implement process improvement of financial operations for an organization.

  • You will provide leadership, direction, and oversight to a team of financial professionals.
  • You will ensure consistent financial practices, strong internal controls, accurate financial reporting, and effective business support is executed by the team across the organization.
  • You will oversee the day-to-day activities of the financial support division staff, ensuring timely budgeting, alignment with strategic and financial goals, and timely and accurate reporting processes.
  • You will provide guidance on complex financial issues, cost estimating, tracking execution and compliance matters.
  • You will identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities with financial operations support.
  • You will ensure financial support activities within the departments comply with internal controls, accounting policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • You will ensure department financial liaisons support internal and external audit requests in accordance with audit requirement.
