Full Job Description

You will serve as a Corporate Engagement Capabilities (CEC) Project Office Chief Developmental Tester (CDT) in the SENSORS WEAPONS AND LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer providing technical and administrative oversight to manage In-service engineering as well as Test and Evaluation programs for ship combat or weapons systems.

  • You will be responsible for the management and oversight of all Developmental Test and Evaluation tasking received at NSWC Port Hueneme Division.
  • You will serve as an expert on the planning, monitoring, execution, and financial management oversight of all Developmental Test and Evaluation tasking for the Corporative Engagement Capabilities (CEC) program.
  • You will provide Program Executive Office IWS6 Command and Control Program Office with a signal focal point for technical expertise and leadership in direct support of Developmental Test and Evaluation In-Service Engineering Agency tasking.
  • You will provide decision makers with the knowledge to measure progress, identity problems, and to characterize system capabilities and limitations, and manage technical and programmatic risk.
  • You will provide senior level systems engineering expertise and leadership during the program design development, combat system integration and engineering tasking; and perform financial management and long-range planning.
