Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Supply Department of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Government Purchase Card to make purchases and maintaining purchase logs; 2) Entering, updating, and extracting supply data via automated systems and databases; 3) Conducting and maintaining physical inventory, and 4) Preparing reports and correspondence relating to inventory discrepancies.

  • You will perform supply, administrative, travel, purchase card support and financial management work.
  • You will perform routine technical support duties related to maintaining property accounts/records, completing individual transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, conducting data searches and distributing output files.
  • You will utilize Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system to obligate funds and reconcile receipts.
  • You will determine stock levels need for recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletions.
  • You will type letters, reports, memoranda, tabulate material, and other related documentation.
  • You will plan itineraries, arrange for commercial/contracted travel, and prepare travel paperwork including travel orders.
