Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing supply logistics for naval ships and submarines in Bremerton, Washington, including coordinating deliveries of critical parts, providing support services like food supplies at the pier, and resolving issues with item descriptions or acquisitions.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the Operatipons Department of NAVSUP FLC PUGET SOUND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Logistics, expediting, inventory, purchase card background.

Experience providing husbanding support; Experience providing pier-side subsistence support Knowledge of the logistics process and material movements; Experience expediting critical materials.

  • You will establish a working relationship with ship/submarine representatives, provides training on shore support procedures, and presents Logistics Support Center (LSC) logistics procedures
  • You will expedite, coordinate and facilitate transshipment and delivery of emergent parts and material.
  • You will research and collect data for quality and performance studies surveys related to the prime vendor subsistence contract.
  • You will resolve conflicts in customer descriptions of required items, recommend substitutions, and recommend alternative acquisition approaches
